Mrs. Harms
While finding myself, I found my passion, teaching children with special needs.

I was born and raised in East Peoria. I graduated from East Peoria High School. After moving away to Chicago, I felt I was ready to come home and raise a family. I married my husband in 2007. I have two very handsome boys. They keep me busy and always pushing to be better.
I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan! I love watching, playing, and cheering on baseball. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

I started my career in teaching in 2005 as a classroom paraprofessional in District #86. I worked in the district for 6 years, before deciding to stay home and raise my children.  Two years later, I decided to go back to school in 2012 to become a Special Education Teacher. I graduated from Eureka College in 2015. I, previously, worked as a resource teacher in a different district for two years. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work here and give back to my community and the children growing up here!
